Calgary: The International Malayalee Samajam Kerala Zone honored Rijesh Peter, Calgary, with the ‘Aksharasree Award’ for his outstanding contribution to the media field. He is the Chief Editor of the IAPC Chronicle, published by the Indo-American Press Club Inc., an organization of the journalists and other media professionals of indian origin.
Mr. AK Sasheendran, the Minister of Forest and Wild Life protection, Govt. of Kerala, presented the award in a function presided by Mr. P Anil, a prominent media personality in Kozhikode, on 4th February 2023.
He started his career in the editorial department at ‘Indian Currents, ‘ a magazine published in Delhi. Later he was the in-house media controller for a prominent company in the Middle East. Rijesh was the creative editor of Samiksha magazine, which started publication in Canada during the Covid-19 period, and has been honored with the ‘Person of the Week award by the Indo-American Press Club. Rijesh Peter is also a frontline member of programs organized by various associations in Calgary.
